Canton Orthodontist
Meet Joe Dietrich, D.M.D.

Continuing Our Legacy of Excellence

My highest priority is giving you a confident smile you’ll enjoy for years to come.

Nothing is more gratifying than watching your personality blossom as your new smile takes shape.

Education + Experience

I’m an Alliance native and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Louisville, Ohio, before attending Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. It’s there that I met my wife, Courtney.

I then went on to Dental School at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, followed by my orthodontic residency at the University of Rochester in New York.

It was very rewarding to join my dad, Dr. Tom Dietrich, in private practice in 2011. Dr. Tom lightened his workload before fully retiring in 2018, and we couldn’t be happier for him!

I’m happy to continue his legacy of creating confident smiles in Stark County!

Professional Memberships

I want to stay sharp professionally to provide the highest level of care, so I’m a member of these organizations:

  • American Association of Orthodontists
  • American Dental Society
  • Ohio Dental Association
  • Stark County Dental Society

Outside of the Office

Courtney and I have three children: Allie, Jake and Macey. Allie enjoys ballet, tap and Irish dancing, as well as musical theater, drama and singing. (Clearly, this is not a trait from me.)

Jake is all sports. If it’s played with a ball, you hit something, or run, he’ll ask to play! Macey is our wild child—she keeps us on our toes! She has an adorable sense of humor and says the craziest things.

My family is active at St. Paul Catholic Church where the kids attend school. My wife and I love giving our kids wonderful “kid” experiences. We love family dance parties, hiking, and campfires.

I love spending time with family, playing poker with my buddies, and watching the Cleveland sports teams. I also dabble in golf—sometimes it’s fun, and sometimes I wonder why I’m on the course.
